About Mera MacKendrick

Mera MacKendrick is a life-long artist (so far, at least).

What started as a childhood pastime quickly evolved into an all-consuming passion. Backed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology, she draws from a deep well of cultural knowledge that often surfaces in her work. Her art blends global themes, stories, and symbolism, all with a signature twist that leans charmingly (if unintentionally) macabre. She creates with one foot in the known world and the other firmly planted in the strange.

Her illustrations have been featured in publications by Neon Squid Books and Michael O’Mara Books, and showcased in a range of exhibitions.
